All About Me
In this section, I'm going to tell you a little bit about myself.
I was born in New York City, but moved to Bombay, India soon after. I lived there for 6 years, before my family uprooted and replanted ourselves in Singapore. Upon moving there, I was enrolled in an international school which felt like a palace in comparison to the tiny, worn-down school that I attended in Bombay. In fact, the modern amenities of Singapore as a whole contrasted sharply against the infrastructure that India offered. Upon graduating from high school, I enlisted in the Singapore Armed Forces – a mandatory undertaking for all Singaporean Citizens and Permanent Residents. I was later fortunate enough to earn myself the prestigious posting of a Senior Officer in the Singapore Police Force. I am thankful for my experience with the police force, which instilled in me a desire to tackle real-world problems, as well as a disciplined work ethic. These traits have served me well at Santa Monica College where I attended my first two years of university, and at Boston University’s School of Engineering, where I have been immersed in a wide range of engineering projects. I am excited to be graduating in December of 2019, and look forward to leveraging my learnings to help make some unique contributions to the world!
