My friend and I have both been very interested in 3D printing and additive manufacturing, and decided to go ahead and try to build one of these cheap DIY 3D printers that are commercially available.

There were some issues with this process, since the instructions given were for an older model. We also noticed that the power supply was faulty, and had some mysterious white goo covering the circuitry. For this reason we had to order a new one on amazon and connect it in. This build took roughly 3 days total, with a long break due to the power supply problem.
